Alberta Health Services was named Major Business Partner of the Year. The Board of Directors Commitment to Excellence Award went to Syncrude, and the Wood Buffalo Multicultural Association’s English Language Learner Assistance (ELLA) program was recognized for Social Benefit of the Year , to name a few.

FMPSD Board Chair Linda Mywaart conveyed greetings on behalf of the Board.

“The Board of Directors expresses its gratitude to the many individuals who seized the opportunity and initiative to invest their expertise, time, finances and resources to have an impact on the lives and learning of the students of the FMPSD. No one can do everything, but everyone can do something; and we want to express our appreciation for every “something”. Your donations and resources go far beyond our school buildings; they inspire love and an opportunity for learning and growth for students and staff. The Board of Directors appreciates that you have joined the FMPSD in doing what is best for children. Thank you to each of our valued partners for your contribution to the FMPSD. You are an integral part of our mission to be a learning community educating all students for personal excellence, ”noted President Mywaart.

Superintendent Jennifer Turner thanked all the partners, who have contributed to the success of our students.

“Each partner contributes to programs and projects that benefit our students, and we thank you all. Partners support academic, artistic, cultural, nutritional and athletic programs to name a few. This is done by donating time, services or goods. Our students would not be so successful without your generous support. Thank you for your commitment to doing what’s best for children.
