Blaine Christian Church Apple Pie Fundraiser Raises Almost $ 7,000

BLAINE TWP. – On November 5, nearly 50 people gathered to bake 720 fresh, homemade apple pies during Blaine Christian Church’s annual Heavenly Apple Pie Day.

Blaine Christian Church’s Missions Ministry and Christian Women’s Fellowship appreciate all of the volunteers who helped bake these pies. There were a number of people from other churches in the area, and many men and women from the Blaine church family, many of whom covered the cost of supplies so that a larger portion of the funds raised. can go to local and national missionary agencies.

Many local businesses and individuals buy apple pies every year.

“The Blaine church family thank all members of the community for their support as it allows them to give generously and help those in need,” part of a press release read.

The church raised $ 6,716 and the funds were distributed among four agencies: Benzie Area Christian Neighbors, ECHO His Love, Disciple’s Week Of Compassion (Disaster Relief Fund) and Disciples Missions Fund. These donations will help local families and families across the state and country.

The annual event is always held on the first Friday in November, so volunteers and the community can start planning for next year.

The Blaine Christian Church is located at 7018 Putney Road. Call the church at 231-352-9148 for directions. For more information, see the church’s website, or
